Grimsargh's Play Group for Babies and Toddlers with their Parents or Carers
Due to the recent change in government advice we will not be running the Friday Toddler sessions. We will keep you posted on when we can resume. Sorry folks xx
Grimsargh Toddlers is a play group for babies and children up to school age. We are a not-for-profit community group, run by a small, friendly team of volunteer parents and grandparents.
First established in 1983, we strive to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment in which parents, grandparents and other carers can meet other people of similar circumstances in an informal and supportive setting - whilst their children are able to play sociably with others.
We are based at Grimsargh Village Hall on Preston Road, situated centrally between Preston and Ribble Valley towns such as Longridge, Goosnargh, Ribchester and Chipping.
Grimsargh Toddlers meets twice weekly during term time and once weekly during school holidays. Sessions are held on:
- Tuesday - group currently not running
- Friday at 9:30am - 11:30am (all year round, except when Bank Holidays fall on a Friday)
The play group and venue offer excellent facilities, including indoor and outdoor play, baby area, singing, crafts, story time, drinks and snacks.
A normal play group session consists of 2 hours play, with juice and snack break after roughly 1 hour. About 15 mins before the session ends everyone pitches in to help with tidy-up time. This is followed by song time for the children, which we finish with the Hokey Cokey and our very own 'goodbye toddlers' song!
Check out our Activities and Facilities page for more details of the what we do in each session. Our News page and Events Calendar provide details of upcoming special events, outings and fundraisers.
We ask for a contribution of £2.50 per family at each session you attend. This includes tea and coffee for the adults and juice and snacks for the children.
Grimsargh Toddlers is a not-for-profit community organisation, run by volunteers. All of the monies we collect in session fees are used to pay for the running costs of the group - such as hire of the hall, insurance costs and buying juice, snacks, tea and coffee, etc.
We are always very grateful to receive offers of assistance - be it from people who would like to volunteer and help out at sessions or special events, or for financial donations that will help us invest in our facilities. Please speak to a member of the committee or email us if you would like to offer your support.
